Really neat!

I was skeptical about this device at first, but it is pretty cool! I feel way better using this product and knowing my food will stay fresh! It has just made me feel a little more high-class.*This product was given to me through the Amazon Vine program for my honest and unbiased opinion. I have no affiliation with the company/seller. Skeptical at first but this has made be a believer

I ordered this as my wife had read many things about the benefits of using a food detoxifier. She's a "food prepper" and loves anything that makes food healthier and last longer. This does both! As a test we washed some U-Pick blueberries like we normally would, then put them in a large glass bowl. (The instructions clearly state you should use glass, not plastic!) We then added fresh water to cover them up and stuck this in the bowl and let it do its magic. It bubbled away and to our shock we started to see little bits of who knows what appear at the bottom of the bowl. (Bug stuff? Dirt? Unknown...) We had just cleaned these, thoroughly, and this still quickly cleaned them better.I can't really speak to the claim of cleaning pesticides as I don't have a way to really test/verify that. During our research, we did discover other countries have recommended the use of such devices for that exact purpose, using this same tech. So that's a plus. Food seems to taste better but that could be a placebo.Overall, even with the steep price tag, this gives us peace of mind that we're eating healthier food and serving healthier food to our children. As a side note, we also saw people were using devices like this to clean many things, not just food, like Coins, jewelery, etc. Though we have not tried that, it appears others were successful, which is handy. I do recommend this and encourage everyone in the market for one to grab this one.

Easy to Use

This food detoxifier is very user friendly. It comes packaged well so there is not likely to be damage during shipping. The touch screen is very easy to use and understand. When it turns on it guides you easily through the steps for whatever item you are sanitizing. I find it easiest to use in my sink as that gives me plenty of room for both water and food and the detoxifier. I do indeed smell the ozone when it is working, but as for knowing if it's actually sanitizing, I have no way of testing that. It takes awhile to run through the cycle of sanitizing which I think is a good sign--if it was done in 30 seconds I would definitely have second thoughts. I wish there was more information on what testing it went through and certifications, that would be helpful. Overall it's an extra layer of protection from food poisoning and I wish I had had this when I lived overseas. As far as I can tell it works well and is well made.

Safer Thinga?

This device uses ozone and ultrasonic the homologues to clean food and other items. The directions are clear and it is simple to use. A non plastic container should be used. Tested it on apples and later corn. The process took about five or six minutes. There was dirt in the bottom of the bowl. Wish there was a way to gauge the effectiveness. Like night driving glasses come with polarity cards it would be reassuring to to test. Did not really notice any taste difference but I felt happier after seeing the dirt in the bowl not on the produce. Bottom line we don't know what is on or in our food and can only hope they are accurate when they represent the farming method, organic or conventional, no gmos. Will continue he experimenting with this unit. It seems a small price to pay for safer things.

Not sure if it works but I trust Mira

I can't tell you if it works, but I can tell you that I've trusted Mira for a while now and for that reason choose to trust this product too.I already use Mira gas masks and filters (even over my issued Avon M50) and would trust those with my life. Why would I doubt anything else this company makes? This doesn't change the flavor of my food, nor does it destroy it. It leaves it all intact and at the very least does do the whole ultrasonic cleaning thing. There are plenty of settings for different foods and such, and they all are noticeably different. For example, cleaning mushrooms takes forever while some veggies don't take too long at all.The battery life is good too. The screen is responsive and the UI is intuitive.Overall, I really like this product. It is expensive though, so it is up to you if it is worth it. In my opinion, it is worth it simply for the ease and thoroughness of cleaning veggies. It really saves time while cooking.
