Storage Guidelines:

The MD-1 Children’s Gas Mask should be stored in a cool, dark, and dust-free environment with proper ventilation. To maintain its integrity and effectiveness, follow these key storage conditions:

• Temperature & Humidity: Store within a temperature range of 5°C to 25°C, with a maximum relative humidity of 60%. Avoid exposure to sudden temperature changes.
• Protection from External Elements: Keep away from direct sunlight, radiant heat sources, and flammable substances such as fuels, solvents, and lubricants.
• Electrical Interference: Do not store near electrical machines or appliances that generate electric sparks or discharges, as these can produce ozone, which may degrade rubber components.
• Physical Integrity: Prevent deformation of rubber components by ensuring the facepiece and internal mask are not compressed or bent during storage. Perform regular inspections to confirm the mask maintains a proper seal on the user’s face.

Usage Precaution: 

Since all negative-pressure gas masks require a certain level of lung strength, a "balloon test" is recommended before emergency use. A child should be able to inflate a standard balloon using their own breath to demonstrate sufficient lung capacity for safe use of the MD-1 mask.

Recommended Enhancement – Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR)

Even if a child passes the balloon test, using a Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) is highly recommended to reduce breathing resistance and fatigue. PAPRs utilize a powered fan unit to improve airflow and create positive pressure, enhancing protection against airborne contaminants.
