Watch out for the Date of Manufacture

These are good filters, but note that they ARE NOT rated for radiological or chemical warfare agents (you need the gray $80 one for that). However, these normally cost right around $45/ea. They are on sale on many sites for $29.99 because they are old stock manufactured in Oct 2020. Still a good deal, especially if you're using them now and not buying for SHFT storage. But I'd rather have old ones than none at all so I think it makes sense to get a few while they are cheap. I'm not sure what exactly goes out of date on a filter like this. Here's what Mira Safety's website says: "IMPORTANT NOTE: The current batch was manufactured in 10/2020, with an expiration date of 04/2028. This product is currently on clearance and will be discontinued once all units are sold. For that reason, they are offered at a deep discount.

I'm not planing on living much longer if I have to use this anyway

Seems good, obviously I haven't broken the seal so I'll just have to figure out if it's worth the money when I'm being gassed for whatever reason.

Works against aerosols and scents

Title says it; tried it on when cleaning out a freshly rotting squirrel corpse from my storage shed outside on an msa millenium mask, not a single smell came through. Tried aerosol protection by spraying copious amounts of febreeze and lysol in a 4x5 restrooom and testing for scent and taste after 10 minutes- once again nothing. I'd say it's fine. Goofy tests- sure- but they work.
