What's most important is that they work when I need them to.

I liked the small size! And easy attachment to gas masks and such.

It works! Truly tested.

I was invited to watch a group of Soldiers go thru an NBC chamber. The chamber is used to get Soldiers familiar with and grow trust in their Protective (gas) mask.I was allowed to bring my own mask. I bought several of these MIRA CBRN cannisters just in case, and finally had a chance to test them.I was in the chamber with CS gas for an hour and 15 minutes. While my exposed skin slightly burned from the CS, my face that was inside the mask was unaffected and my breathing was normal. I couldn't even smell it.The room was filled with smoke from the fire prior to the CS addition, and the mask easily filtered that as well. While my voice was somewhat muffled, I was understood by everybody when I talked.I had grown trust in both the mask and, more importantly, the cannister to do their jobs.I gave it 4 stars because I did have an issue with clearing the mask at the end when I broke the seal to test the ease of clearing it. The inhalation vent on the cannister is really wide, and to clear your mask you would put the palm of your hand over that and exhale to clear the gasses from the mask without it going through cannister. If you have small hands, this will be difficult. While this seems mundane, if you put your mask on after the gasses are in the air, you would need to clear your mask anyway.Overall, I will be buying more MIRA CBRN canisters in the future. I have them for my family and trust they will work in worse case scenariosYou just can't get much better of a test then this.

Best filter

If you have a gas mask then you should have a couple of these. 20 year shelf life, this filter is the real deal that will protect you from radiation, chemical, or biological weapons. The only thing it won't protect you from is a saturated atmosphere where there's no oxygen.
